Early Years
The college search and application journey is likened to a marathon rather than a sprint. To ensure students have a head start to gain admission to their desired colleges during their senior year, we emphasize the importance of careful profile crafting early in the process. Starting early yields better results.

FRESHMEN FOCUS: Our work is closely focused to create a comprehensive plan for success. Through an initial consultation and goal-setting discussion, we identify 2-4 of their interests and transform them into areas of expertise. Younger students are encouraged to delve into readings, films, mentorship, and real-world experiences to build a well-prepared profile. Assistance is also provided to students in making informed decisions about class choices, summer plans, testing strategies, and other high school-related matters.

SOPHOMORE FOCUS: Students receive guidance in organizing and refining their academic and extracurricular profiles. We continue to build upon their strengths and help them excel in their specialized areas. The ultimate goal is to craft a compelling holistic profile and create an exciting plan for their remaining high school years.

For both grade levels, our focus remains on fostering well-rounded experiences ensuring that students enter the college application process with a meticulously prepared profile. Additionally, ongoing support is provided in making important decisions about coursework, summer activities, test preparation, and any other necessary steps along the way.

Junior Package
This package is perfect for high school juniors aiming to gain a competitive edge over their peers by completing their applications well in advance of looming deadlines. It's crucial to emphasize the significant reduction in stress that our students experience by wrapping up their applications before senior year even begins.
One of the key advantages of our Junior Package is our guidance in engaging students in practical activities essential for their success during and after college. For instance, we've assisted students applying to undergraduate business programs in establishing their own ventures.
The program kicks off with an initial consultation and a thorough discussion of the student's preferences and aspirations. Subsequently, we assist the student in selecting their courses to create an optimal academic schedule, prioritize and maximize their extracurricular involvements, aid in planning their summer activities, and address any questions regarding tests and scheduling. As senior year approaches, we collaborate with them on crafting the Common App essay and completing the Common App activities supplement. Furthermore, we meticulously construct a timeline covering the entire application season, encompassing early decision, early action, and regular decision applications. Our students typically apply to a variety of safety, target, and reach schools.
Throughout the program, students and parents have the opportunity to communicate with their counselor at any time, and parents receive a status report every other week.

IT'S GOING TO BE OK
This offering becomes accessible after the deadlines for Early Decision (ED) and Early Action (EA) have lapsed. It is specifically tailored to offer assistance to students who did not secure admission to their early decision school and are feeling uncertain about their next steps. We understand the anxiety that accompanies this period, which is why we collaborate closely with you and your family to overhaul your application and craft a well-rounded list of prospective colleges. We remain alongside you throughout the entire journey, from revamping your essay to selecting from your pool of acceptance offers.

Convergence Educational Consulting offers the Imagine Scholarships Program and additional support to aid families in addressing the financial aspect of college preparation. If you're worried about your eligibility for financial assistance, insufficient savings, or lack of a viable strategy to cover the substantial expenses associated with educating your children, this package will assist in students in researching and applying for funding sources outside of family resources.
